Cave de Clochemerle

La Cave de
Clochemerle

Showcase of the wines
of the commune of <br/ Vaux-en-Beaujolais

Our village is better known under the name of Clochemerle, a novel written by Gabriel Chevallier, who admitted that he was inspired by it.

Located in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region, in the middle of the vineyards, perched on the hillside, you can admire the whole of the Saône plain as far as the Alps.

Our cellar

Inaugurated in 1956,

the Cave de Clochemerle is a place of meetings and festive events where you can taste and buy the wines produced and selected among the best Beaujolais-Villages of Vaux-en-Beaujolais…

Our wines

The wines are part of the Beaujolais-Villages Protected Designation of Origin.

The main grape varieties of the area are Gamay and Chardonnay.
